I am well trained and highly experienced in administration of law practices having overseen every area of a practice including including choice of staff, supervising as many as 15 employees and support personnel, assigning work to the correct person for the job, setting up internal office procedures, creating employee manuals, maintaining office equipment (copiers, fax machines, computers, postage meters, etc.), maintaining office supplies & fixtures, choice of in house software, maintaining in house library, advertising, insurance, monitoring MCLE & Bar requirements, bookkeeping, liaison to various organizations (Local Bar, Chamber of Commerce, BBB, etc.), interaction with other firms, experts, the courts, vendors and clients.
Extensive ability as a legal secretary including file maintenance, preparation of judicial council forms, local forms and various pleadings, discovery, motions and briefs, preparation of documents for filing and service, dictation, letter writing, operation of multi-line phone systems, travel arrangements, heavy court and opposing party attorney contact as well as interaction with clients. Expert in preparation of exhibits, demonstrative presentations, trial binders, witness preparation, coordinating with experts for testimony, subpoenas, calendaring, logging billable time and general receptionist duties. Typing Speeds up to 100 wpm or more.
